Kenilworth Tennis Club

Following the successful completion of the first phase at Kenilworth Tennis Club, we were delighted to be invited back to continue the development of the club’s facilities. After installing two padel courts the previous year, the project proved to be a great success, and due to the increased demand and popularity of the new courts, we returned the following year to install a further two padel courts.

Working within an established tennis club environment, both phases required careful planning and coordination to ensure the works were completed efficiently while keeping disruption to the existing facilities to a minimum.

The padel court installations involved a range of specialist groundworks, including reinforced foundations, level management and retaining solutions to integrate the new courts into the existing landscape. Due to the changes in levels around the site, sleeper retaining walls were installed to create a practical and attractive transition between the courts, pathways and surrounding areas.

To enhance the overall experience for members and visitors, we completed high-quality landscaping works around the new courts. The pathways were finished with asphalt surfacing, combined with social turf areas to create a welcoming environment where players and spectators can relax and enjoy the facilities.

As part of the wider improvement works at the club, we also carried out upgrades to the existing tennis courts. This included installing new lighting ducting and cabling, fitting new tennis court sockets, and renewing the playing surface with TigerTurf, providing a modern and durable surface for club members to enjoy.

The tennis facilities also received a full perimeter upgrade, with new chain-link fencing and access gates installed to improve security, appearance and ease of access around the courts.

During our return visit, we also delivered a new Mini Red tennis court designed to support junior tennis development. The works included preparing the area, installing edging, stone preparation, laying the tarmac surface and completing the final line marking to create a dedicated and professional space for younger players.

In addition, we installed a reinforced concrete base ready for a cycle shelter, adding further value and improving the facilities available to members and visitors.

This project has been a fantastic example of a successful partnership between ourselves and Kenilworth Tennis Club. Being invited back to complete further phases of development demonstrates the trust and confidence the club has in our workmanship and ability to deliver high-quality sports facility improvements.

From padel court construction and groundworks through to tennis court upgrades, landscaping and supporting infrastructure, we are proud to have played a part in helping Kenilworth Tennis Club continue to grow and provide outstanding facilities for its members and the wider community.
